1. CLASS SUMMARY 

    In this weeks lecture, we were assigned another work on the theme of photo manipulation. Layers of photo that are set specifically to create a silhouette like portrait with other photo layers that were darken using the blending mode.

2. INSTRUCTIONS

• Download Image given
• Create layers 
• Use the selection tool brush to select the portrait and click select and mask
• Add background and select clipping mask 
• Add decorations like clouds and birds
• Make gradients

3. PROCESS WORK

Follow tutorial :

In the beginning process, we already start placing layers and creating clipping mask

In this work, we played a lot with layers, and adjustments, these tools enable use to create this piece with a neat overlay and our own color gradient.

Self portrait :

After I was finished with the remake of the tutorial shown, I started with my own self portrait, I was a little confused in the beginning as my photo was not black and white but rather colored ones. Therefor, I used adjustments and add black and white to make the coloring in my work process a lot more easier during the gradient part.

4. REFLECTION 

    During this work process, I wasted a lot of time figuring why my background wouldn't fit in right even after I have created clipping mask when to core problem was just cause I have not clipped mask the bottom layers. For that reason, I took a lot more time doing this than I expected, and also I learn to focus on details during any process of doing my work.
