1. LECTURES

Week 8 :

    During our first week of our new assignment, task 3 ( Poster design & Digital imaging ), Mr. Fauzi assigned everyone in Google Classroom the new template we must fill in before our task 3 deadline, and also to search up motivational / positive quotes which later will be reviewed whether it is accepted or not.

Week 9 :

    After our Independent learning week, Mr. Fauzi conducted an online class for the reviews and feedbacks of our chosen poster ideas, and quotes. He reviewed one by one of each of our quotes to let us know if we are able to process with our work. 

Week 10 :

    In the 10th week, we had brief class meeting, explaining about the after effect and also for anyone who wants to consult their work progress.

2. INSTRUCTIONS

    PROJECT 2 : Project design & Digital imaging

• Research for poster ideas and put in the given template
• Finalize motivational / positive quote and get approval from DPI lecture
• Make a sketch of the idea of your poster and get approval from IVN lecture
• Start digitizing in Adobe illustrator and photoshop
• Use Illustrator techniques and apply to fonts 
• Add your personal photographs of object, background, etc. 

3. PROCESS WORK 

    3.1 Research 

    In the beginning of my idea on how I want my poster too loke like, I was aiming for the look of underwater since my quote itself correlates with ocean, sea ( underwater ).

    In this three chosen poster, I like how they put together the photos and also the fonts together to create an identical look for others to get the idea and concepts they are telling.

     3.1 Ideation

 

    This was not my initial sketch I started of with. After the feedback I received from Mr. Hafiz on our IVN class, he told me that my initial sketch was too literal and that I should try creating the word appear like what it mean. Therefore, I submitted a new sketch of the idea I came up with and was finally approved with the feedback that I should try making the word "deep" looks deeper.

    Digitization 

  

    During the digitization process of my work, I spent most time in creating the right font for the quote. I also took the time to cut out objects from my personal picture to put it as an accessories around the quote using the select and mask tool from Photoshop. While creating all these fonts, I played around with the use of pen tool, shape tool, transition, and more other.

General feedback : Use direct and positive quotes 

Personal feedback : Quote accepted and ideas explained, I can proceed with my task

4. REFLECTION

Experience :

    In the process of working on my task 3 : Project design & Digital imaging, I was able to learn and understand a lot more about both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop such as, pen tool, shape tool, transitions, layers, magic wand, select & mask, and many more other.

Observations :

    Working on this project surely needs time and consistent, for example the patience in cutting out small objects, and creating curves and detail on fonts which may be a little tricky sometimes.

Findings :

    Working on this project took me quite a lot of time, especially in the details of the fonts, object cutting. I learned that doing things takes time and consistency to become better and created a good result
